Sitour's message centers are entirely designed and manufactured in the USA, as well as all service and support being available from offices throughout the USA.
Installation
To make installation simple, only 120V 15A service is needed when the site topography permits use of the built-in radio modems. One small antenna is unobtrusively mounted on the major trail sign structure. All message centers installed require ground rods to be driven at or near the installation site for lightning protection. An existing desktop PC manages the network with our Windows software. Each software package is customized for your resort.
Radio Modems
The radio modems incorporated in our message centers use an advanced spread-spectrum design, which changes their frequency 50-130 times a second. They do not require licensing and comply with FCC regulations for spread-spectrum devices running in the 902-928Mhz frequency range. The radios are rated at 1-watt maximum output power, compared to the 5-10 watt repeaters used for most handheld radios. Our system has a range of up to 30 miles, line of sight. Wireless Technology
With an established network of message centers you can update any number of signs instantly. Using this system eliminates the need for a conventional dial-up modem. That means that with Sitour's wireless system you won't need to worry about overhead or underground communication lines.
User Friendly Software
The program provided with each sign is easy to use and it allows you to create eye catching displays that will stand out on the mountain. The software will play each line of your message that you enter in sequence. When the last line is finished, it starts at the beginning again.
